The first official “race” of the 2013 Louis Vuitton Cup took place on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco when Emirates Team New Zealand sailed on the full America’s Cup by themselves. The photos were spectacular even if the boat’s amazing speed and safety rules keep the photo boats quite far.

The full report will come later on. Still I could summarize it in one sentence: “34th America’s Cup: Brilliant concept, awful implementation”!
