    The core sailing team consists of 6 key sailors led by Skipper Peter Burling who is joined by Blair Tuke, Andy Maloney, Nathan Outteridge, Glenn Ashby and Josh Junior whose focus will be on the performance and development of the boat, along with the all-important strategical decision making during the 37th America’s Cup.

    Saturday 15 January, 2022: Giovanni Soldini’s Multi70 Maserati (ITA) has taken Multihull Line Honours in the 2022 RORC Transatlantic Race, crossing the finish line outside Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada at 05:51:41 UTC on Saturday 15th January (Corrected: 6d 18h 51m 41s). After eight days of extraordinary racing, Maserati finished ahead of Peter Cunningham’s MOD70 PowerPlay, skippered by Ned Collier Wakefield, followed by Jason Carroll’s MOD70 Argo.

    From the Classes, Santiago Lange is the new Nacra 17 president

    Santiago Lange (ARG) is the new President of the International Nacra 17 Class Association. The Nacra 17 executive co-opted Santi officially into the role at an executive meeting on December 8th. Santi stepped up to the commitment and is prepared to lead us through the World Sailing Event review for the 2028 Olympics. He takes over from Nathan Outteridge (AUS) who has turned his focus toward the next America's Cup.

    World Match Racing Tour, 2022 calendar is out

    The World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) today announced its 2022 world championship season with a 19 event schedule across 12 countries including new World Tour level events in Puerto Rico and Italy. 2022 will mark the 22nd consecutive season of WMRT, the longest running professional series in sailing awarded ‘Special Event’ status by World Sailing.
