Oracle Team USA were back on the water in San Francisco yesterday for another afternoon session of crew training and boat testing on their AC72 as they prepare for the 34th America’s Cup.
The Cup holders tore round a series of windward leeward practice courses between the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges, eating up the miles with what looked like breathtaking ease.
From our vantage point the crew work looked slick and the team looked comfortably in control of their repaired and modified boat – but it was interesting to note that they opted not to foil downwind at any point during the day.
